Google’s software engineer Chris Rogers reveals the various new features being developed for Chrome’s next release. Amongst the big noteworthy changes, there will be support for a ‘native client’ (NaCI), which means developers, can run C or C++ programs without leaving their browser. The ‘native client’ feature will be enabled through the use of ‘Pepper APIs’, similar to a plugin feature. <p>It seems Google is now keen to turn their browsers into a powerful development tool itself.</p> <p>According to Chris Rogers, native client will enable “developers to build more powerful and more immersive apps and games for the Web.”</p> <p>Google also wants to please the MAC users as the new version 14 will have better support for OS X Lion.
